We would like to start this letter off with some great news. We’ve been given permission to start campus ministry! We are almost at our goal and are just waiting for a few donations to arrive. It is an answer to prayer that we can start the semester with our team and the students. Praise the Lord for His provision through you, our faithful supporters.

In January we spent about two weeks just outside of San José, Costa Rica for training conference. Every year and a half or so all the university staff that work with Campus Cusade in Central America, Mexico, and the Caribbean (CMC) region get together for traning and vision casting. This was my first time at any type of international conference within the ministry; while being Luis’s second CMC training conference he had a lot of fun catching up with many of his international friends. It was encouraging to hear how God is working in countries like Panama, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, Guatemala, and El Salvador. I met families who have been serving the Lord with CCC for over 30 and 40 years! Some have had to deal with doing ministry while there were civil wars going on in their countries. It is an incredible testimony of perseverence in our faith in Jesus, and trusting him for protection. It is amazing to think of the legacy that these men and women have left through campus ministry in all their years of service, and to think about the many students who have now graduated and are teaching their own families how to follow Jesus.

During this conference we were able to visit the University of Costa Rica, the largest university in their country. We spent some time on a prayer walk around the campus. We prayed for God to rise up more student leaders in the movement, and that the Spirit would open the eyes and hearts of the students to see God. Later that evening we joined a group of students for their weekly meeting at the Veritas University, an art, design, and architect school.

Overall, it was an amazing welcome back to full-time ministry for Luis and me. We are thrilled to go out and make disciples on the universities in Mexico City.

Prayer Requests:

 Please pray that the Lord would give us guidance in ministry as we start the semester.

 For students to attend the National Conference for Mexico March 27-April 1st and that God would provide the finances for them to attend.

 That my Mexican Visa would be approved so that we would be able to split our salary to and pay fewer taxes each month.
