Dear friends, Two weeks ago we had our fall retreat for the students from Puebla, Xalapa, and Veracruz who are involved in the student movement.  It was a very enjoyable time where the students spent lots of time learning, having fellowship, praying, and being challenged to keep sharing the message of the Gospel when they return to their home university. I had the opportunity to have personal, in-depth conversations with several students over the course of the weekend.  Thank you so much for praying for this retreat.  Here is a photo of all of us who were there.

This semester we have also taken advantage of different training opportunities for the students where they can learn how to share their faith, how to disciple a new believer, the importance of the spiritual movement they lead, and more.  It has been very exciting to see new students taking hold of the vision to make disciples in their university.  Here are some pictures of the participants at these trainings.

Over the next few weeks, we’ll be closing the semester at BUAP before Christmas break by having an end-of-year posada in our house to celebrate with our students about the great things God has done this year.  Please pray that this posada will be a blessing for our new students. As far as our family goes, Ian is really enjoying school now, where he is making new friends.  Leah is continuing to grow in her personality.  It’s fun for us to watch them grow. Also, by God’s grace we have seen how He has supplied all our needs this year.  We are very grateful that God has provided for us through you.  Right now our income is exactly equal to our monthly expenses, but we’d like to invite you to consider give a special end-of-year gift (in addition to your regular monthly support) to help us with the cost of some medical expenses, attending various conferences and training sessions that are coming up in 2017.  It would be a great blessing for us. Thank you again for partnering with us in prayer and for financially supporting us. You are indispensable in allowing us to see the great work God is doing in the lives of students in Mexico.
