The Pomares                    April  2014 Dear friends, At the University in Puebla where we are principally working, BUAP, there is a group of student leaders who are winning (evangelizing), building (discipling) and sending (teaching others to do the same).  So far this year, 15 students have put their faith in Christ, 25 new students are involved in discipleship groups, and 10 students have been trained in how to share their faith with others. We are so excited to see how God is using students to win students.  Their enthusiasm and passion for sharing the Gospel without fear on their campus encourages us. Here is a picture of some students involved with CRU at BUAP with the director of the university that sometimes comes to greet them when he sees them having meetings. In less than a week, from April 13th to 18th we are having the CRU Mexico National Student Conference, where students from several cities will come, such as Monterrey, Chihuahua, Guadalajara, Queretaro, Mexico DF, Puebla, Oaxaca, as well as people from other countries like Panama, El Salvador, Trinidad and Tobago, and the Dominican Republic. We are working very hard on the details so that the conference will be a success. This year during the conference we will have an additional leadership training for the students leaders and the missionaries with CRU Mexico and some from Latin America and the Caribbean. This training will help us to accelerate seeing more movements lead by students on more universities in Mexico. We are praying that God would use this conference and training to empower the students to go to more universities with the Gospel. On the family side this month we had the opportunity to dedicate our son, Ian to God in our local church called “El Faro” (Lighthouse). It was a special day for us to commit before God and our church to bring up our son according to what God teaches us in his word. Thank you very much for your prayer and financial support, certainly God is doing wonderful things through our mutual contribution to reach college students in Mexico and around the world.  To God be the glory.
