Dear friends, Every day, the conference known as “Solo 1” (Only One) gets a little closer for the Latin American and Caribbean CRU students and missionaries.  This conference has been in the works for a while, and we are less than two weeks away from leaving for Panama. These are critically important days for us and the students, since it is now time to pay for everything we will need for the conference.  For both the students and the missionaries from Mexico who are going to go to the conference, getting ready has been a test of our faith.  As of now, about 60 students and 25 missionaries (and their families) will be leaving Mexico to attend this conference

These have been days of hard work in finalizing all the details, but we are very excited because we are certain that all this effort is worthwhile.  Our prayer is that each and every participant will come to a clearer knowledge of God and that they will hear from Him what next steps they should take in their lives in order to serve Him better. Our children, especially Leah, are very excited to travel on a big airplane (she likes saying the words “big plane”).  We just received our passports and we are almost totally ready to go.   We would like to ask for your prayers about the following items:   - That God would provide for every student and missionary who still needs to finish raising funds to attend the conference.   - That God would provide for our family specifically so that we may attend.  We still need about 800 usd to finish paying for the conference and travel expenses.   - That God would provide safe travels for the students and missionaries who are coming a long way in order to fly from Mexico City to Panama.  Some have to travel up to 20 hours on the bus.   - That during the conference, God would speak into our lives, and that once we return to Mexico we would be focused on putting into practice whatever He wants to teach us.   - That the CRU missionaries may be given wisdom as we invest our time into the lives of the students we are bringing with us from Mexico and that we may deepen our relationship with these students.   Thank you very much for your prayers! When we are back in Mexico, we will fill you in on all that God did among us during this time.  Our family would not be able to go to this important event without your help.  We appreciate you all so much, and we are grateful to God to have you on our team as ministry partners.
